On October 20, 2026, TUI BLUE Curaçao will welcome its first guests as we begin our opening phase.

Important Update Regarding the Opening of TUI BLUE Curaçao

Following our previous communication, we would like to share an important update regarding the opening of TUI BLUE Curaçao.

After a careful evaluation of the construction progress and extensive discussions between TUI Group, the construction company, and MACE Consultancy, our independent construction and project advisor, all parties have jointly concluded that postponing the official opening is the most responsible decision.

The new opening date of  TUI BLUE Curaçao has therefore been set for November 1, 2026.

In preparation for the official opening, the resort will begin a controlled, phased opening period from October 20, 2026. Stays during this opening period will be offered at an opening offer and will be available exclusively through the official TUI BLUE Curaçao website. They cannot be booked through tour operators or other booking channels. During this period, operations will be introduced gradually with a limited number of guests, allowing our team to test and fine-tune the resort’s facilities, services, and operational processes.

As is common with newly opened resorts, some final finishing touches, minor adjustments, and operational improvements may continue during and shortly after the opening period. We will make every effort to ensure that any remaining activities are carefully managed and have as little impact as possible on our guests’ holiday experience.

We sincerely apologize for the delay in communicating this decision. A matter of this importance required a thorough assessment and careful alignment between all parties involved. We wanted to ensure that the final decision was made responsibly and in the best long-term interests of our guests, partners, and team.

Guests with existing reservations affected by the postponement will be contacted directly by our reservations team or by their tour operator. We will work closely with each guest to provide suitable alternatives, including the possibility of rebooking for a later stay at TUI BLUE Curaçao or transferring the reservation to another available property.

We understand that this announcement may be disappointing, particularly for guests who were looking forward to being among the first to experience the resort. We deeply regret the inconvenience and uncertainty this change may cause.

We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued confidence as we work towards welcoming our first guests and delivering the complete TUI BLUE Curaçao experience later this year.

We would like to inform you that we are currently working closely with the TUI Group, the construction company, and MACE Consultancy, our external construction and project advisor, to carefully evaluate the current construction progress of TUI BLUE Curaçao.

Together, we are reviewing which areas and facilities are expected to be completed as planned, and which parts may require additional time. This process is important to ensure that we can provide you with a clear, accurate, and honest update.

At this moment, we are not yet able to share a final conclusion. However, we expect to provide more information next week regarding any possible changes to the opening date and what this may mean for your stay.

Please rest assured that we are treating this matter with the utmost care and attention. As soon as we have more clarity, we will inform you immediately. Guests who already have a reservation with us will be contacted directly by our reservations team or your travel agent with further information and personal assistance where needed.

Construction is entering its final phase

At the moment, the resort may still look like a construction site because it is in the final construction phase. We have around 300 people working on site daily to complete the resort before the official opening.

As with many new hotel openings, there may still be some finishing touches taking place during the start-up phase. It is also possible that some facilities may still be worked on, may open in phases, or may have adjusted opening times or schedules in the beginning.

Should any facilities not yet be available during your stay, we will do our utmost to offer suitable alternatives where possible. Our team is working hard to make sure the resort is ready to welcome guests in the best possible way. However, if you prefer to arrive when the resort is 100% finished, fully settled, and without any finishing touches, we would advise rebooking for later in the year to avoid any disappointment.

Alternatively, we can assist you in exploring another all-inclusive resort option or offer a discounted stay at our sister hotel, the Avila Beach Hotel. Please let us know your preference, and we will be happy to assist you personally via reservations.curacao@tui-blue.com.

TUI BLUE Curaçao Celebrates Graduation of 80 Team Members Ahead of Opening

TUI BLUE Curaçao celebrated the graduation of 80 newly trained hospitality professionals, marking an important milestone ahead of the resort’s upcoming opening. The graduates successfully completed an intensive one-month paid training program focused on hospitality excellence, guest experience, operational procedures, teamwork, and service standards aligned with the TUI BLUE brand philosophy.

With 90% of the graduates being native Curaçaoan, approximately 40% of the graduating team members came directly from the Bandabou region, reflecting TUI BLUE Curaçao’s commitment to creating employment opportunities and investing in local talent development, particularly within the Bandabou community. The ceremony recognized the achievements of the graduating team members and celebrated the role hospitality training plays in supporting Curaçao’s tourism sector and long-term economic development.

As one of Curaçao’s newest luxury hospitality destinations, TUI BLUE Curaçao is investing in people before officially opening its doors. Through local recruitment and extensive opening training, the resort aims to create sustainable employment opportunities while helping elevate hospitality standards on the island.
